IS IT SUMMER ALREADY?

 Sunnycord; Cocobonito

Only 75 days 'till Summer! Do you remember those rainbow colored cords for your sunglasses? They were dazzling ugly, right? I finally found an alternative and here's a sneak peek of it. Besides the fact that these handmade sunny cords are super handy, they are really cool too! What do you think of it?

HOLY CRÊPE!

Are you already drooling after seeing this picture? Get your booty to the kitchen and let's bake those super healthy (not lying!) banana pancakes! The recipe is easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy:

Ingredients

- 140 grams of oatmeal flakes
- 2 tablespoons honey + extra for the topping
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 egg
- 250 ml milk
- (coconut) oil for frying
- 2 ripe bananas + 1 extra (sliced) for the topping

For the topping: greek yogurt, cinnamon, strawberries or whatever you like

Let's go baking!

Step 1: Put the oats, honey, baking powder, egg, milk and two bananas in a blender and blend for 1 minute until a smooth mixture.
Step 2: Wait about 15 minutes for the oats to expand.
Step 3: Put the skillet on the fire and add a dash of coconut oil.
Step 4: Put some pancake batter into the skillet. Not too much, the pancakes have to become small and thick (like American pancakes).
Step 5: Bake and flip the pancakes 'till they're golden brown.
Step 6: Serve the pancakes with the topping of your choice and you're ready to taste a piece of heaven!

PS. Don't forget to play Jack Johnson - Banana Pancakes while baking/eating.
PPS. If you tried this recipe, let me know what you think about it!

HAT OVER HEELS

Fedora, Yellow108; Top, Zara; Shorts, Levi's; Sandals, Zara

Hey gal hey! I'm so sorry for the lack of posts lately. I just got back from a 10-days vacay to Italy with my parents and sisters. I spent my time catching sunbeams, reading books, wandering through cute Italian cities and eating pizza's.. Yes, lazy-ass is my middle name!
Let me tell you something about the olive green hat I'm wearing. It's from the brand Yellow108. This company makes their beautiful hats from salvaged and recycled materials. That is really cool, right?!

It's that time of the year again. One word, nine letters: COACHELLA! Have you seen the line-up? It's just too good to be true! Pharrell Williams, Outkast, Disclosure.. Oh, how I wish I was there to dance my feet off! This festival is definitely on my bucket list. To get in the festival-mood, I created three Coachella-looks. Which one is your favorite?

I'M A DAISY

'A woman who doesn't wear perfume has no future', Coco once said. And did mademoiselle Chanel ever say something incorrect? No. That's why I sprinkle myself every morning with my fave fragrance 'till I smell like a flower. Like a Daisy, to be exact.

What is your favorite scent?

LUCKY BASTARD

Leopard coat, Baum und Pferdgarten

Hip hip hooray! The Dutch ELLE is celebrating her 25th birthday by giving away a key-item every month. The key-item of February was the 'perfect coat' and guess who won the coolest coat of all? HELL YEAH, this lucky bastard over here! I'll show you my trophy soon!

EARPARTY

Talked about addictions.. I've put a new one to my list and it involves needles.. No you silly thing, I did not become a heroin user. I'ts about piercings! I've always had this thing for subtle ear decorations and after seeing Yara's ears (picture above), I was convinced. I overcame my phobia for needles and got my first helix piercing one month ago. Yara once wrote: 'Having your ears pierced is kind of like opening a roll of Oreos. Once you start, you can NOT stop.' And this surely is the bitter truth. So last week I decided to pierce my ear again (a regular 'second' earring that is). Now I'll have to wait 6 weeks before I can switch my piercings. In the meantime I want to collect some tiny, dainty jewelry. I'll show you my own earparty in a few weeks!

OH MY LEO!

 Sandals, Zara (old)

'Hi, I'm Sara and I'm addicted to chewing gum and leopard prints.' Those are just two of my not-super-weird addictions (yes, I have many more..), yet I wanted to share them with you. A quarter of my wardrobe consists of leo-printed items. One of them are those leopard babies. I already have them two Summer-seasons, but they will always remain my favorite sandals. And now that Spring has already sprung here in the Netherlands (it's a miracle?!), I can't wait to wear them again.

So, are you addicted to something? Don't be ashamed to tell me!

COOL GALL

Hey girl hey! Sorry for the radio-silence. My exams are coming up, so I have to study my ass off the coming days. Secretely, I take more breaks than I actually learn.. So, when I surfed on the world wide web today, I found this picture above. If you ask me who's the coolest model on planet Earth, I'd say: Erin Wasson. Beside the fact that she's drop dead gorgeous, she also has a flawless style. The golden rule to become as cool as Erin? Wear denim cut-offs, a big fedora and a pair of bad ass biker boots! Who is your favorite model?

THE COMEBACK

Dungarees, Zara; Breton shirt, H&M; Python boots, SENDRA

When I was a lil' kid, the only piece of clothing that I wanted to wear were denim dungarees. They were just so comfy and couldn't slip down off my tiny booty. I had dozens of them in all kinds; with stripes, spots and even with flowers. But years passed, my dungarees disappeared and skinny jeans became my new bff's. Now that 2014 is the year of the comeback of the dungarees, I couldn't be more happy. I found this pair at Zara and every time I wear it, I feel like a little rebel again.

LOVE? I'D RATHER FALL IN CHOCOLATE.

February 14th; for some of us the most exciting day of the year, for others a day they would rather cancel. If you belong to the last category, don't waste any more tissues! I made this checklist especially for you, to survive Valentine's day and night!

THE VALENTINE'S DAY/NIGHT SURVIVAL KIT

1) Lots (read: loads) of chocolate. Tony's ChocoLONELY is the best.
2) Movies, but nothing romantic tinted.*
3) A suitable music-playlist. (Beyoncé - Single Ladies)
4) Ben & Jerry's ice cream in all kind of flavours.
5) A pet (or teddy bear) to cuddle with. If you don't own one, borrow one.
6) A big ugly sweater.
7) Liquor.
8) Did I already mention chocolate? Anyway, more chocolate!

Oh, and avoid social media like Instagram and Facebook. Trust me, it's for your own safety.

*It's a pain in the ass to find a movie that isn't romantic tinted, so tips are welcome!

PAR(AD)IS

C'est un cliché, but Paris is always a good idea. That's why my sister and I packed our bags and took the Thalys to this petit paradis. We wandered through the magical Marais, ate a finger-licking-good meringue pie at Le Loir dans la Théière, went to my future-university (Sorbonne), visited Les Deux Moulins (a.k.a. the Amélie-restaurant) and hung a lovelock on the Pont des Arts. We definitely made the most of our 4 days. Though if I could, I would take the first train to Gare du Nord to return to the city of my dreams..

PEGASUS

Meet my new old school babies! Last Thursday I went to Amsterdam and as soon as I walked into Baskèts (a very cool sneakerstore at the Elandsgracht), these Nike Pegasus 83 caught my eye. Even though I wasn't looking for new shoes, yet I tried them on. We all know 'trying on cool things' is the most dangerous thing you can do.. And -surprise surprise- I fell in love and bought them as a pre-birthday present to myself. Do you like them as much as I do? Tell me!

CRAVINGS

Is it just me or does every girl on this planet have a never-ending wishlist? Each time when I can cross one item off my list, a new craving pops up in one blink of the eye. Anyway, since my birthday is coming up (read: tomorrow!), I do have an excuse to make a new one. So, here's a list full of wishes (besides a trip to NY, my own Chuck Bass and -ofcourse- world peace):

Clockwise
1) A dainty necklace - Efva Attling
2) A grey fedora - Janessa Leone
3) Scented candles - Diptique
4) Framed butterflies - The Sixtine
5) A bralette - Monki
6) A black (pony) bag - Donchoo

CRUELLA DE VIL

Coat, Maison Scotch; Knitted hat, unknown; Rings, Cooperative de Création and Fashionology

What better way to kick off my very first blogpost by showing you my latest gain: a multicolored faux fur. It became number one on my wishlist from the moment I saw it on Aline Weber in the Maison Scotch campaign. As soon as the sale had started, I rushed to the store to get my hands on this furry friend. It might be a hysteric coat, but I'm pretty sure Cruella de Vil would be jealous of me. What do you think?

PS. As you can see, these pictures were shot near the Eiffel Tower, on place Trocadéro. There will be a big Paris diary coming up in a few days, so keep an eye on R'BELLES!

PPS. Can't wait? Check out my instagram to see some Paris-snapshots!
